ПОЛОЖЕНИЕ
1. INTRODUCTION
The organizers of the 28th European Kyokushin Championship is: the Greek Kyokushinkai Organization in collaboration with the European Kyokushin Federation and World Kyokushin Federation
This European Championship will take place on the 9th - 10th of May 2014 in Greece, in City Volos.
The Championship will be held in Kumite (fight) weight categories, and kata (forms) and the categories and age for Kumite and kata will be as follows:

CHILDREN 10 -11 YEARS OLD, boys and girls.

CHILDREN 12 -13 YEARS OLD, boys and girls.
-
CHILDREN 14 -15 YEARS OLD, boys and girls.
-
JUNIORS 16 - 17 YEARS OLD, boys and girls.
-
SENIORS over 18 YEARS OLD, men and women.
-
SENIORS MASTER + 35 YEARS OLD: ONLY MEN. OPEN WEIGHT CATEGORY.
All the categories in Kumite will be divided in several weight categories according to the rules of Kumite of the European Kyokushin Federation rules; you can see them on this bulletin as well.
2. VOLOS CITY.
The city of Volos It is the fifth biggest city in Greece with 200.142 people and 3d largest port in Greece, situated in Magnesia. The City of Volos is located at the foot of the peninsula of Pelion (Historical Mountain of Centaurs) in the centre of Greece. The city of Volos was founded in the mid 19th century. Modern Volos is built on the area of the ancient cities of Demetrias, Pagasae and Iolkos. Iolkos was the homeland of ancient Greek hero Jason who boarded the ship Argo accompanied by the Argonauts and sailed in the quest for the Golden Fleece to Colchis. Demetrias was established by Demetrius Poliorcetes, King of Macedonia, in 293/92 BC. In 19BC Romans annexed Demetrias.
2. HOW TO GET TO VOLOS
Volos by plane
The fastest way to come to Volos is to fly to Greece to either Athens or Thessaloniki and then get public transportation from there to Volos. Athens is 300km away from Volos and Thessaloniki is 200km away from Volos so Thessaloniki is 100Km closer to Volos than Athens.
Volos by Car
Volos is just 2.30 hours from Thessaloniki (around 216Km) by car and 80% of the Highway is superb.

5. SAYONARA PARTY
On 10th of May 2014 we would like to invite you to the “Sayonara Party”. We provide: menu buffet and drinks. Also we will have Greek Dance & Oriental Dance.
The ticket’s price is 20€ per person.
You must inform us, up to 30th March 2014. The tickets will take it at the time of the Check-in in Hotel Park.
6. SPORTSHALL
The Sports hall Volos, where the 28th European Championship will be held, is one of the biggest halls in the City of Volos. It has capacity of 2.500 seats.
7. LUNCH OPPOSITE OF SPORTSHALL ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
At the break of fights if you don’t want to hassle we recommend you opposite of Sports hall about 100metres in one big Park there is a very nice Greek restaurant. The Lunch menu in this Greek restaurant provide: Chicken grill or Burger or pork chops all these accompanied with spaghetti or potatoes or rice. Also obtain of two people salad session (cabbage, lettuce or tomato), Greek cheese, bottled of water and fruits.

Below are shown the athletic supporters (protectors) required during the Championships, approved by the organizer
EKF MAY PERMIT other types of athletic supporters with other logo types only if they have the same level of protection and keeps similar aesthetic to the ones homologated by EKF/KWF, and they have to be approved by the Main Judge of the Championships Shihan Antonio Pinero and Chief Referee Shihan Fernando Perez.
8.3 DURATION OF THE MATCHES.
10-11 years old: 1,5 min with obligatory decision.
12-13 years old: 2 min with obligatory decision.
14-15 years old: 2 min+ 1,5 min with obligatory decision.
Junior (16-17 years old): 2 min+ 1,5 min with obligatory decision.
Seniors: 2 min+2 min (weight) + 2 min with obligatory decision. On finals 3 min+2 min (weigh) + 2 min with obligatory decision.
Senior Master + 35 years old: 2 min+2 min (weight) + 2 min with obligatory decision.
The weight difference of kilos to win a match must be 3 or more, in senior categories.
If there are too many participants at the Championship, and preliminary matches have to be done with obligatory decision, it will be communicated before the Championship starts.
9. ABOUT KATA COMPETITIÓN

9.2. KATAS to be done.
The competition will be divided into two rounds. Four competitors of each category with the highest scores will pass to the Finals.
1st Group (Obligatory Kata):

On the second round the competitor may choose a kata from the following list:

10. GENERAL RULES CONCERNING THE COMPETITION

Only Official forms will be accepted, the forms will be attached to the next e-mail.

Together with this bulletin we are sending you the Kumite rules for children and junior, the kata rules, which will be the official ones for the Championship.

This competition is for countries, however, one organization may participate like such organization or country, etc. Inside one country we can differentiate different groups. For Example: “Greece–KWF”, “Greece -Kyokushinkan”, etc.

It is obligatory to write down the name of the coach on the inscription to be accepted. Maximum number will be 3 coaches because in our competition will have three teatimes.
-
On Saturday morning again 3 coaches will be permitted and in the afternoon as it will be only 1 tatami, only one coach will be permitted.
-
Every Kyokushin group from each country can register unlimited numbers of competitors per category and weight.

Ø The organizers have the right to cancel the event or modify categories if there won’t be an appropriate number of participants.

The Final date of registrations for competitors, coaches and referees is the 30th of March 2014. No inscription will be accepted after this date.
Each competitor must have a personal insurance, for any accident that may occur at the competition.
The weight in and the checking will be done in Hotel Park, on Thursday 8th of May from 12:00p.m to 18:00p.m. All the competitors, referees and officials must come together at the same time as a group and country.
Registration Fee per fighter is 25€
The competitor who will participate in Kumite and kata has to pay 50€.
On the weight – check- in you must be prepared to give the following documents:

Parents permit ion (Authorization) (only for competitors under 18 years old).

Responsibility letter (you will have to sign and fill in the document on the weight in act.).

IDC or Passport (To check the nationality and age).
-
Doctor Certificate (only for Kumite competitors).

Must pay the participation fee.
12. REFEREE
The information concerning the course and other will come on bulletin nº 2.
13. TRANSPORTATION
The Greek Kyokushinkai Organization for those teams that want can provide buses from airport to the Coty of Volos.
The Prices:
FROM ATHENS TO VOLOS and return is: 45€/per person
FROM THESSALONIKI TO VOLOS and return is: 40€/per person

The Price of the Memorial T-shirt of 28th European Kyokushin Championship 2014 is 10€.
