Dear country representatives, WKO Branch chiefs and club leaders,
Ukrainian Kyokushinkai Karate Federation would like to invite your team
to participate at the
Ukraine Open
Shin-Kyokushinkai Karate CUP – KYIV 2013
in Kumite and kata divisions
for adults And senior-men
The tournament will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Date: December 14-15, 2013.
Place: Sport Hall of the «National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine» (address: 1 Fizkultury Str., Building number 5).
Kata competition for all age groups – 14-th of December at 18:00-21:00.
Start of the Kumite competition – 15-th of December at 09:00.
Registration fee for participation: 15.0 euro for each participant in each division. Participation fees must be paid in cash on time of team’s registration to Organizing committee.
Payment: All expenses must be paid by participants and guests of their own.
Age groups:
- Adults (men and women) from 18 years old;
- Seniors-men 35 years old and over.
Number of participants for country: 2 participants in each weight category / kata division.
Country organizer has 2 participants for every UKKF club-member in each weight category / kata division.
Rules:
- for adults: EKO Kumite and UKKF Kata rules by flag system;
- for senior-men: UKKF Kumite rules for seniors are the same like for adults with special timing and additional protectors.

Timing of fights:
- Adults:
Until semifinals: 2 min, 2 min, weighing, 2 min.
Semifinals and finals for men: 3 min, 2 min, 2 min, weighing, tameshiwari, 2 min.
Semifinals and finals for women: 3 min, 2 min, 2 min, weighing, 2 min.
- Senior-men (all fights): 2 min, 2 min, weighing, 2 min.
Decisions by weight deference:
- Adults:
Men – 5.0 kg and more for categories -70, 70-80, 80-90 and 10.0 kg and more for +90 category.
Women – 4.0 kg and more for categories -55, 55-65 and 8.0 kg and more for +65 category.
- Senior-men – 5.0 kg and more for categories -70, 70-80, 80-90 and 10.0 kg and more for +90 category.

Conditions for participation at the competitions for fighters:
All competitors are requested to present a written medical certificate (in English, Russian or Ukrainian languages) indication that he or she is physically fit and healthy (this medical certificate must not be older than 3 months) and his / her insurance documents for period of visit to Ukraine.
All women are requested to present written certificate of non-pregnant state (in English, Russian or Ukrainian languages). This certificate must not be older than 1 month.
All the competitors must fill and present declarations for participation at the tournament.
All cadets must bring declarations by their parents that they agree them to allow participate in the tournament.
Insurance:
The executive committee would like to ask you to purchase insurances prior to arrival. Please note that insurances for sportsmen foresee special conditions. Make sure your insurance company has a representative in Ukraine.
Protectors:
- for adults: by EKO Kumite rules;
- for seniors-men: by EKO Kumite rules like for adults with additional protectors (shin and foot protectors are compulsory; mouth protector, soft knee protectors - are optional).
All competitors except adults-men must bring to the weighting control legs protectors and of chest protectors (for women) for the control and their licensing by organizers.
Clothing for officials, coaches and referees:
All officials must be dressed in formal wear. The coaches must wear the national (club) tracksuits. Coaches in general clothing, jeans, sweater, caps, bandanas will not be admitted seconded to their fighters to the tatami.
Referees and Judges are required to wear black trousers (not jeans), a dark blue shirts with short sleeves and a white bow-ties and carry a personal whistles.
Conditions for dogi of participants:
All participants must compete in clean white dogi. No advertising is permitted and marks as also names of clubs and names of participants on the jackets and pants.
It is permissible to have the logo Kyokushinkai calligraphy or Shin Kyokushinkai calligraphy on jackets and pants. Country emblem and club emblem as well as the flag of the country are allowed to be placed on arms of the jacket. Allowed to compete also with memorial dogi with logos and emblems of previous international competitions.

The organizers expect that the competition will be broadcast on several Ukrainian channels, also planned a live broadcast on the tournament web-page http://championship.org.ua/index.php/en/
